King Pine NH Demo

We arrived at King Pine with an awesome demo day ahead of us. This resort is celebrating its 50 year anniversary as a family-friendly destination that is affordable with consistent snow conditions. King Pine offers a variety of terrain for all abilities and you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tubing and skating all at this one resort.
We hit the ground running with customers lined up and waiting at the entrance to try the latest and greatest gear we had to offer. We always have ski area instructors interested in trying Telemark and NTN boots from Crispi carried by Alpina Sports in Lebanon NH. Nevado is always interested in supporting local manufacturers, retail stores and ski areas. We started out by fitting some new team members with Yaktrax for traction and Little Hotties toe and hand warmers. Customers commented about how well our team members walked around setting up the area while using the Yaktrax on the icy patches. Did you know that Yaktrax was named after the sure-footed Tibetan Yak? Some alpine skiers were checking out our SkiTrax by Yaktrax. SkiTrax is a durable polyelastomer material that fits over your ski boots to protect them from wear while walking in the parking lot or in the lodge. It has a unique rounded design on the bottom to prevent snow build up. On another note we have been using the Sof Sole fit system for customers to easily identify their foot and arch type. These insoles have an anatomical nylon plate that provides side to side stability while maintaining flexibility and range of motion. In the past we have had heat moldable insoles but with Sof Sole’s high rebound eva foam the density changes with the arch type so there is no need to go through the steps of heating them up.
RAMP skis were another popular hit. We had one couple try out the Woodpecker and Chickadee skis and another female customer went out on the Beaver skis. We were asked by her what the difference was between the men’s Groundhog and the women’s Beaver skis. We were told by RAMP right from the start that the old model for creating women-specific skis and snowboards was shaving off some great qualities and mainly used by skiers with less athletic ability and skill. At RAMP, they create skis and boards designed to fit your ability and size so women who are athletic and strong will get the same high-performance equipment that men have therefore delivering unmatched women-specific models. We also currently carry two snowboards from RAMP: the Tumbleweed and the Sagebrush. Both boards have a quiver camber which means it has an early rise in the nose and tail with a flat mid-body to bring you through some tough runs and of course a nice edge grip to help finish out that awesome carve.
Customers loved the option from Go Pro camera to actually purchase an SD card so they could have instant gratification when bragging to their friends on Facebook about the awesome jump or run that the HD Hero2 captured. This camera is two times more powerful in every way. GoPro has produced the world’s most versatile camera and the HD Hero2 Outdoor edition comes with a vented helmet strap, head strap, curved and flat adhesive mounts and a three way pivot arm. We also carry quite a few balance training devices from Indo Board and have customers trying them out with Sara. Indo Board is a great way to get fit while becoming aware of your posture. We first have people trying the Indo Flo balance cushion to start with as a free flowing balance training workout. You should check out the new deck styles and designs that are available. Another product in the balance area is EFX performance holographic wrist bands that enhance your endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. Our next demo is next weekend at Granite Gorge on Saturday and Crotched Mountain on Sunday. See you there!!!
