What a great weekend! As always, Nevado kicked off the 07/08 season exhibiting at the Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo, a great event at the Bayside Expo Center in Boston. Our demo team was busy all weekend long getting the word out about our upcoming events and showing off a few new items that will be available at the demo center this winter.
If you live in the greater Boston area and haven’t been to the Ski & Snowboard expo in the past, make sure to get to it next year. It’s a great opportunity to check out both area and far-away resorts, finalize vacation plans, check out some equipment from ski & snowboard manufacturers and even score a deal or two at the Ski Market sale.
Amongst the things we’d brought with us to this special event was the GoPro Helmet Hero – a helmet-mounted 3 megapixel camera that captures superb quality video and still images from inside of its durable, weatherproof plastic housing. While it’s designed for the type of conditions we’d typically encounter on the hill or while participating in a variety of other outdoor sports, we had quite a bit of fun with it at the show, sending people out to capture some video of the various events going on, coming back, and hooking it up to a TV for all to see.
Something else that attracted quite a bit of attention was the Spot satelite messenger – a unique device that gives you peace of mind and the ability to contact anyone from pretty much anywhere. We traveled around with the device, demonstrating its ability to fire off email and SMS messages with satelite images of our location to anyone we had chosen with just the press of a button. Very cool! We also had on display a great way to carry your equipment to and from the hill from Velociter, and the new line of Yaktrax heat adjustable insoles – both exciting products we’ll be giving you an opportunity to try at our demo events this season.
